Amare Stoudemire compared Jeremy Lin to Steve Nash
Amare Stoudemire and Steve Nash played together for quite sometime during Amare’s stint with the Phoenix Suns under the guidance of Mike D’Antoni as head coach. Amare and Steve run one of the best pick and rolls in the NBA then.
Amare said about Jeremy Lin:
“I see similarities in their games.” Lin, he’s finding guys out there, he’s playing totally unselfish, he’s taking what the defense gives him and he’s studying.
Well, Amare’s statement is very credible because he himself had played along Steve Nash on a first hand experience. With D’Antoni, now the same coach for the Knicks and who is famous for nurturing point guards, Lin may indeed live up to the level of Steve Nash, two time MVP and considered one of the best playmakers in the NBA history.
